Heartfelt Speech & Language Therapy is a private practice located in Bergen County, NJ, offering consultation and treatment in the areas of speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing disorders. Heartfelt's mission is to improve overall communication and quality of life by providing personalized therapy to adults, the geriatric population, and their families in need of our services.

About Katelyn
Katelyn Van Schaik is a New Jersey State licensed and ASHA accredited Speech-Language Pathologist with 16+ years of experience. She has worked with patients of all ages in a variety of settings including hospitals, nursing homes, inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation facilities, schools, and Early Intervention. During her employment at the hospital, Katelyn gained valuable experience in conducting Modified Barium Swallow studies alongside her co-workers in conjunction with the radiology department and their Doctors. This knowledge and experience allows her to properly assess and treat patients more effectively in the office or at their home.
Katelyn specializes in working with adults and the geriatric population where her passion and focus lies today. She attends multiple continuing education courses and conferences and remains diligent in staying up to date with the newest research and treatment options within her field. She prides herself in creating thoughtful, individualized treatment plans and forming meaningful and lasting connections with her patients and their families.
